Indecision

Lately I have wanted to do so many things, whether that be writing, painting different rooms in the house, cleaning, organizing, doing activities with the kids, but haven’t been able to decide what I want to do first, so the indecision has left me doing nothing.

I hate it. It leaves me feeling useless.

Has anyone else suffered with a case of indecisivitis?

That’s part of the reason I’m doing this post now. I was hoping just getting my thoughts out there might help.

So, here’s my to-do list, in no particular order:

  1. Finish pre-writing my story.
  2. Write the 1st draft of said story.
  3. Buy paint, and paint supplies.
  4. Paint the living room.
  5. Find a couch for the living room.
  6. Paint the dining room.
  7. Organize an office space in the corner of the dining room.
  8. Get a desk and chair.
  9. Paint the kids’ room.
  10. Organize the kids room.
  11. Get a dresser for the kids.
  12. Get an organizer for the playroom.
  13. Organize the playroom.
  14. Get a play set for the backyard.
  15. Plan my daughter’s birthday.
  16. Vacuum.
  17. Sweep.
  18. Mop.
  19. Laundry.
  20. Dishes.
  21. Make dinner.

Can you see why I’m having a hard time? This isn’t even everything, I’m sure I am forgetting things.

Even with the list, I’m still no closer to figuring it out.

  1. Prioritize. Choose the most important things you have to do, and out of that also do the one you like best to do first. Once you finish one you get the satisfaction of finishing a job. That will give more energy to go on to the next ones. Be patient sometimes when you let go and take time, its not difficult as you think. Its only when you try to run against time that you feel the pressure. Go with the flow with the ones you can. Balance your life. Hope that helps. I am a very mature person and extremely well organised and neat. Being well organized helps immensely. Best of Luck 🙂
